Matlab de han sare rishte na koi bhain na bhai ey;
Uddi preet namrta jag ton kul duniyan dukhdai ey. Bheda chaal jagat vich ban gai soojh na rab di kayi ey; Rab ey kee te kitthe vasda duniyan samajh na payi ey. Pyar preet namarta wala murshad nagar vasaya ey; Kahe avtar guru poore ne begampur dikhlaya ey. |

All worldly relations are of self-interest, sister or brother, none is yours;
Love and humility have disappeared from the world, and the whole world is a source of suffering; Like sheep, people have become blind followers of one another, and know nothing about God; What is God and where He dwells, the world has failed to understand. The True Master has set up a 'town' of affection and humility; Avtar says, the perfect True Master has shown, what is called 'Beghampura', the divine city without sorrow. |
Meaning
All these worldly relationships are perishable. Only God's love is going to stay forever. All these relationships are of self-interest, sister or brother, none is yours. Love and humility have disappeared, and the whole world is a source of suffering. Like sheep, people have become blind followers of one another and know nothing about God. What and where is God, the world has failed to understand. The True Master has set up a 'town' of affection and humility. Baba Avtar Singh ji says, the perfect True Master has shown, what is called 'Begampura', the divine city without sorrow.
